I get the feeling from some answers on here that many who consider themselves Christian don't feel Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Am I wrong or are there some Christians on here who believe you can get to God without going through Jesus?

Short answer: Yep.
Answer to Second question: Nope, you are not wrong, but then, many people call themselves Christians who do not follow the true Christian doctrines... and I refer to mormons and JW's specifically.

JUST because you mix the name of Jesus into your religion, does NOT make it a Christian religion. Just look at Islam. They "acknowledge" Jesus, but they do not believe Jesus is the Son of God. But JUST because they have Jesus "extant" in their religion does not make them a Christian religion! If you say to a Muslim, "Oh, you must be a Christian since you believe Jesus existed!" WHOA!!! You'd better STEP BACK!

In the same manner also, mormons and JW's really mix Jesus into their religion, but the basic Christian doctrines accepted by the majority of all other true Christian denominations are not accepted by these cults. They are NOT Christian religions.

Have a blessed day.

Jesus was called a gift for a reason. And you're right, I've seen some crazy beliefs in this forum since I've been on. What in the world is being taught in church these days? Some of these Christians are all over the place in their beliefs. What happened to the fundamentals of Christianity? Oh well, God knows.

If you do not suppose, it fairly is not that tough. Seriously, we Christians are alas brainwashed from the get pass. You are born, moms and dads take you to church, and earlier than you'll be able to speak, stroll, and fully grasp you could have heard one hundred sermons approximately God and Jesus. Take a step again and appear at it from anyone else's eyes. There isn't any evidence of God, commonly the Bible tells studies that under no circumstances occurred, typically our fellow Christians are simplest Christians once they believe it's relevant, and Christians have a nasty rep with stuffing it down folks's throats. You are not able to end up to folks that there's a God and Jesus greater than a person from scripture. The scripture used to be written by means of guy within the publication that you simply have to observe is just a little of a stretch. Your religion continues you believing and loving, however the folks you're regarding haven't any religion. And I are not able to blame them. People will ask God to deliver them the numbers to win the lottery. Why? Do you could have a task? Did you pass to university? Whatever it's that you simply are not able to have the funds for why are not able to you have the funds for it? IS it seeing that you made unhealthy selections in lifestyles? Maybe it's high-quality if you happen to are not able to have the funds for it to exhibit others that the course you took used to be now not the correct course. My individual ideals are that God does now not interfere. I refuse to suppose he might enable warfare if he did. I additionally are not able to suppose he might enable 1 / 4 of one million folks to be killed by means of a tsunami if he believed in preventing such matters. It couldnt' had been all the ones folks's time to move. Heaven and Hell, I suppose folks have the unsuitable inspiration. How can I experience anyone's enterprise and not using a frame? I are not able to hug them, are not able to see them, listen them, and so forth. So why do I wish to visit Heaven? I suppose this can be a state of brain that you're in whilst you die. The pleasure of realizing that you simply lived a well lifestyles.

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Jesus is the ONLY way....

anyone believing that salvation can be obtained by human merit is emphatically wrong...God is Holy [set-apart]..one sin makes it IMPOSSIBLE to exist in the presence of a Holy God...

for someone to say that there are other ways besides God's way is to say that it is possible for a human to be equal to God in righteousness....

edit: and if anyone believes that people can make it in on ignorance [never hearing the gospel], they must also believe that missionaries are in fact dooming people's souls to hell for telling them the gospel.....

There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death. Prov. 14:12

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Jn. 14:6

I believe it is the only way but God is merciful and it is his decision. I am under the impression if someone has not heard the word they can still be saved by Gods mercy.

remember it is his call I do not tell someone they are saved or not I do not know if at some time they will accept Christ so I can not tell someone they are going to hell it is not my job. I can tell them the word and let them make their decisions.

John 5:24 - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." And, in John 11:25 Jesus said to Martha, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." I believe this with all my heart! God bless you!!!

There are some people who claim to be Christians that say it is possible but I think the Bible makes it very clear that Christ is the only way.
