My 2005 Toyota Prius is just about to hit 90,000 miles. Does anyone have a Prius with high miles on it? Can I expect problems after I hit the 100,000 mile mark and lose my warranty?

Wow - you got me beat. My 2004 has about 80,000 miles. I haven't had any problems with mine - other than the radio in that car STINKS!!! Lousy reception.

Any Prius guru's out there know the trick to getting good AM radio reception. I'm convinced the car has an electrical grounding issue, but the dealer claims they can't find anything wrong.

Yes -- I listen to the AM radio.

what most people don't understand is that the hybrid system employed by the Prius doesn't really increase your mileage on the highway. the prius has two motors, one gasoline, the other electric. to cut down on fuel use, the electric motor kicks in to help the gas motor when you are accelerating, but when you're on the freeway, the Prius is just like any other car that runs on a gasoline engine. BTW, the Honda Fit is rated at 41mpg I believe.

I work at a Toyota dealership service dept, I see them regularly with well over 100k on them and the customers still love them. No real problems that I can report

As long as you have done the required maintenance, you should expect the car to hold up.
