I think that if he were an atheist, everybody would stop bashing him. But he's a Christian, and so will be bashed.

Opinions?

People bash him for his ignorance and inability to speak properly.

George has earned his very own low approval rating.
His membership in the Skull n Bones society makes his christianity questionable (cannot serve God and Satan).
The bashing he gets is well deserved, nothing to do with religious persecution.

Right before he left office, not like the one we have now whose ratings are dropping like a rock in his first year. Bush had the liberals and liberal media beating him to death with a lot of outside help. Obama had the praise of the liberal media and liberals. However the media has cooled off on him a lot and even the obnoxious late night talk show hosts are starting to really put in digs about Obama as well as political cartoons. Obama is going to steal Carters crown in history.

I am always glad to hear of Christian persecution in the US. Other countries go so far as to murder Christians, but here, the best we get is when someone laughs at us or our beliefs. How are we going to be blessed and prove we are good Christians if we don't get persecuted?
"Blessed are the persecuted for great is your reward in Heaven".
"Blessed are ye when men shall revile you and say all manner of things against you falsely for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake".
"Rejoice and abe exceedingly glad, for so persecuted they the prophets before you".
Anytime someone on here calls me a 'fruitcake' I rejoice and am exceedingly glad.
Sometimes Christians are hard put to find anything that can be deemed 'persecution' in America. So if GWB is being persecuted by a low approval rating, doesn't that prove that God is on his side????????

I think Bush is bashed because he is the worst president ever in the entire history of the USA. I am Christian and i would dislike him slightly less if he did not proclaim any belief in God. I hope most people realize that his fake profession of Christianity is not any less sincere than his fake allegiance to democracy or his faked interest in the well being of the American people.

I think it's persecution of ignorance and hypocrisy.

Maybe George is an Atheist in disguise strategically engaged in giving christianity a bad name. Eh. Not really working for me. I still love my christian boos ~ and my Atheist homies. Mwah.

I do credit bush for one thing though. Bushisms. Love them! He really makes me giggle when he pops off with a new one. It will be his legacy ~ well that and war mongering.

No, it proves he does very little worthy of approval.
And an atheist president would be a nice change of pace. Maybe we could actually get something done about the real problems in our country instead of worrying about converting the world to Jeeeesus.

Hes' not being bashed because of his Christianity - even some Christians are bashing him because of his horrible foreign policy and his non-existent domestic policy.

It probably has more to do with dragging his country into a disastrous war, ALL the reasons for which have been shown to be inaccurate or incorrect.

Not to mention presiding over two recessions.

And for being a moron in general.

All that proves is, that he's a "Baboon" who happens to be Christian and who should had never been President.
Oh wait a minute...Clinton is also Christian...then you are right!...stop the Christian persecution !!!

Sounds like an excuse Bush would make.

"I invaded Iraq based on a lie and people hate me because I'm a Christian"

No.
