I graduated with my BArch, but I was unable to intern while I was in school (I have a family and couldn't move for 2 months in the summer, then I got pregnant in my last year of school). I am finding it difficult to find a job since I don't have experience, even though I have a good portfolio and excellent grades. I also have experience working with AutoCAD and REVIT... just not actual internships. The school I graduated from won't give internship information to non-current students. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The AIA has an Intern Development program.

They also have a career center on their site that may be helpful.

If can't get into an Internship because you are a graduate contact the AIA chapter in your area. They may be able to help with local firms and contacts in your area.

I was in a similar position, but a friend who worked in the field referred my application to an engineering company in St. Louis, and I got the job. Ask around at your local colleges, maybe even the dean of the CAD department, about job opportunities that go to them. Businesses often go there to find people with no real experience for interns. If not, browse monster-jobs or even google for internship jobs in your area.
It would also be a good idea to go back to school for one class a semester, to take advantage of opportunities
