Well, if they aren't persecuted they aren't REAL Christians.

So they've resorted to persecuting each other just to make sure they're meeting their quotas for feeling self-righteous.

Tawaen has the right idea, b/c the mark of true Christianity is love among all members (which is accompanied by persecution from others). Perhaps some 'others' are accusing their brethren of not being real Christians so's they can meet the persecution quota.

Being unpopular is not the same thing as being persecuted. Unfortunately, many Christians who have never undergone true persecution don't understand that. Where Christians are a minority, they are even today being raped, imprisoned, and beheaded. One example would be the Christian girls in Indonesia a few months ago who were attacked and beheaded. Their crime? They were going to a Christian school. As for your point that Christians persecute other Christians, I stand by my first statement: being unpopular, even among your peers, is not persecution, and they need to buck up a little.

Persecution is the threat of having your head sliced off because you're a Christian in the Middle East.

i think they have a name for the psychological condition in which christians feel like theyre being persecuted because they cant face the sad reality that christianity is slowly but surely declining in acceptance as people become more aware of their world by sources other than the bible.

No. the undeniable fact that a Christian is mocked (justifiably or unjustifiably) has no bearing in besides on whether or no longer a god created the Universe, or a zillion different claims of the Bible. as an occasion - all of us comprehend the Bible refers back to the city of Jerusalem. can we instruct that Jerusalem is a actual place by using observing: a) a city of that call is on the placement defined - or - b) Christians are mocked. i think of you will see how nonsensical is such a controversy approximately evidence.

I think white people are persecuted as well. Affirmative action... government trying to keep the white man down...when will the discrimination against majorities end!?

Yes
Reasoning from the Scriptures book

Encouragement

For persons facing Persecution because of doing God's will-----

Ps. 27:10 says "In case my own father and my own mother did leave me, Even Jehovah himself would take me up.'

1 Peter 4:16
"But if [he suffers] as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name. "

Proverbs 27:11
"Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me."

Matt. 5:10-12
“Happy are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them. 11 “Happy are YOU when people reproach YOU and persecute YOU and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against YOU for my sake. 12 Rejoice and leap for joy, since YOUR reward is great in the heavens; for in that way they persecuted the prophets prior to YOU."

Acts 5:41, 42
"These, therefore, went their way from before the San´he·drin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy to be dishonored in behalf of his name. 42 And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus."

Phil. 1:27-29
"Only behave in a manner worthy of the good news about the Christ, in order that, whether I come and see YOU or be absent, I may hear about the things which concern YOU, that YOU are standing firm in one spirit, with one soul striving side by side for the faith of the good news, 28 and in no respect being frightened by YOUR opponents. This very thing is a proof of destruction for them, but of salvation for YOU; and this [indication] is from God, 29 because to YOU the privilege was given in behalf of Christ, not only to put YOUR faith in him, but also to suffer in his behalf."
