Why is it that the Vatican is following his prophecy to the letter or do you think it is inadvertent and this is truly a prophecy?

Yes, it is a funny thing. By the way the next one which is supposed to be the last one, is "Petrus Romanus" (Peter of Rome). The current one is Pope Benedict XVI. Who happens to choose Benedict after the order of the Benedictines, whose coat of arms include the the Olive. Hence "De Gloria Olivae".

I predict that the next pope will be some old guy.
If this comes true then you all need to recognize me as a true prophet.
I think that people are looking for ways to tie a rather vague prophecy into the background of the person.
What are they going to do after they run out of verses? However, that last one looks like a humdinger. I wonder if Benedict XVI is going to 'move on' in time for the next guy to be there for the End Of The World As We Know It in 2012? After all, all the people predicting 2012 can't be wrong again! Can they?

About Malachi's prophecy, I can tell you that he warned the Jews about the profanity they were handling on at the sacred temple period by their sacrifices which had been becoming a matter of idolatry. By the way, the name of 'electricity' (rhashmal) is the first concept mentioned in his writings concerning the vision of the alien flying saucer he had previewed about the far off future. Some Jews cabbalists refer the aliens as the 'flying saucers' (UFO) of the American army of the United State of America which are operating right now in the Middle-East War (against Iraq…). The aliens are the American soldiers of course.

Malachy's prophecies, which are brief mottoes that supposedly have identified every pope since 1143, tells us that the next pope will be "De Gloria Olivae", "of the glory of the olive," and who better fits that than Cardinal Martini?!
