The planet or the god? I've seen the planet several times.
The god Neptune is just another god myth. I would ask why don't theists believe in Neptune the god? Why are they atheists in all gods but one? All arguments for the existence of one god works equally well for all gods.

I do "believe" in neptune. Not as much as Mars, but I feel pretty confident in claiming that its existence is a verifiable fact.

The deity Neptune has not made himself apparent to me. I see no evidence of his existence. Thus, I fail to believe in him. I'll even take it a step further and say it's rather unlikely that such a being would exist, but my evidence for that may not be very convincing to everyone.
