Well, Santa is derived from the Latin word "Santa" meaning "Saint." You know, like Saint Nicholas -- good old St. Nick.

Satan is a biblical name. The angel who fell.

The idea of anagrams is not that old. So though the words have the same letters, no cleverness was intended.

So, it's an anagram. It doesn't mean anything.

The full name is Santa Claus. Santa is Spanish/Italian for Saint.
Santa also other names- Father Christmas and Sinterklaus.
Did you find any anagrams for those names?

That's cute. It's true. However roughly 4 billion people believe Satan is true and alive in some form. Santa in more like a fairy tale. So yes the letters are the same but only in English. Peace.

I have heard that for many years. A Christian is taught he should work by the sweat of the brow or make money to support his family. On the other hand, Santa teaches to sit on your keester and let someone give you everything.

I have 2 children, now middle aged, and they were never taught there was a Santa.

Both words are rooted in latin, and have been much altered over the years. Santa comes from latin for "saint", and Satan comes from the same word, but altered to mean the opposite, basically "anti-saint" or "unholy". The translation from language to language and culture to culture has stipped most of the subtle variations that were present in the original.

people can FIND what they want if it suits them. Same as evian water backwards is naive, which the joke goes "you must be to spend $4.00 on a bloody bottle of watter!"

depends on what you believe, but I prefer to think satan came after Santa.

everyone needs happy thoughts and gifts are good!
the less hell the better!

santa is just short for other names.
saint nick and all that. kids named him santa.

why its quite ironic that Santa has alot of jesus like qualities to him then, now isnt it?

he punishes the bad, but looks favorably upon the good
he sees and knows everything
his original intent was to help the needy
hes kind and gentle
