Yes, every PS3 has a HDMI port, and you can use a HDMI cable with every PS3.

Yes, but they have to be high enough quality to carry the signal. Not all 1080p signals are the same - HDMI 1.3 is twice the bandwidth!

I bought a couple of (cheap) 10' HDMI cables that didn't work when the signal was carrying the extra color info that's in an HDMI 1.3 signal... They passed 1080p when I went to a lower color depth.

I also got a cheap 6' cable with my HDMI switch that works fine for HDMI 1.3. The fact that it is shorter helps, and it may be better quality than the 10' cables.

Since I needed more than a 6' cable, I began my search for high quality (affordable) cables... I discovered bluejeans cables - http://www.bluejeanscables.com - I am running HDMI 1.3 high color 1080p on an inexpensive (but high quality) 20' cable now. I'm getting ready to order some more cables from them too.
