What is racist about about Anchor Baby? What race is being discussed? The ILLEGAL alien crisis has nothing to do with race. It is about the law!

It doesn't matter where the illegal comes from, they shouldn't be here. I don't care if the illegal is from England, Canada or Egypt. It doesn't matter!

As for banning the word "Anchor Baby" NO! As for banning the practice of having anchor babies - ABSOLUTELY!!!!!

Right wing radio people and anti-illegals are NOT RACIST!

Ok you are mistaken if you think you heard those word on "right wing radio" . Imus didn't even go that far ........ you need to appologize for your inacuracte portrayal of your precieved oponents on these issues.
Whats racist about he word "anchor babies" ??? Its a descriptive term depicting how alot of illegals legitmize a claim to this nation. You are mistaken on every point.
Perhaps an education reguarding FCC regulations in reference to their interpretation of exceptable diolougue.

We need to ban anchor babies. All it would take is a decision from the Court saying that the amendment applies only to slaves and former slaves, not to illegals babies snuck in to circumvent the law.

Do you understand how ridiculous you sound? I've never been a racist (and believe me, there are so many of them among the opponents of illegal immigration) but "anchor baby" is something that exists. Female illegals sneak into the States specifically in order to give birth on the American soil or to get pregnant and give birth - all in order to not get deported.

Well, you just said about all of them. Anchor baby doesn't refer to any race of people, only to the illegals and their methods to try to stay in our country. Why take offense to that one? No banning of words at all, people should know what is acceptable or not. Sorry!

I can see the racism in some of the terms you've listed, but I'm not sure what is racist about the term anchor baby. That term is applied to children of illegal immigrants, not a particular race.

You can change the phrase, but the argument is still valid, that the intent of the law was not to make it possible for illegal aliens to get citizenship for one of their children by sneaking across the border just in time for the delivery.

There is not one thing "racist" about "anchor baby". You can't go and re-write the entire dictionary to please your cause. MANY countries of MANY races have seemed to adopt this "anchor baby" phenom. It simply means USING A CHILD AS A MEANS TO ANCHOR YOURSELF TO ANOTHERS CITIZENSHIP BY THE SIMPLE ACT OF GIVING BIRTH ON THEIR LAND, avoiding other legal means of gaining citizenship.

Nope - It would violate free speech. People have a right to say or not to say any nasty thing they want. Who gets to choose what is acceptable and what isn't? Where do you draw the line? Sounds too much like book burning if you ask me......Nazi Germany, anyone?
