Let's say a musician released a CD and I want to know if it is his 1st , 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th... CD. To get the answer what should I ask in English?

Ask how many Cds he has made. Then ask if the CD you have is the most recent one.

You would ask them how many albums ie CD's have you released

We don't have a "Wh-" word that covers this situation, really. I would ask something like, "Is this the first release, or the second release, or what?"
