So what exactly is disrespectful about it? Just wondering. A "teddy" bear, which was a stuffed creation was originally named for Teddy Roosevelt (Theodore the 26th president of the United States) who busted some of his own fanny to help preserve parts of the natural U.S. from getting trashed by overuse, etc. Pretty darn respectful I'd say.

A teddybear then is nothing more, beyond what I've just said: a stuffed animal that CHILDREN named. Children are innocent and lack the same levels of dualistic thinking that you're proposing here until someone shoves it down their young throats.

Let's let go of some of the tiny junk and focus on altruism, wisdom and compassion... the REAL roots of respect and peace?

Well I don't name my teddy bear, because I do not have one. My daughter on the other hand has several teddies. She has a name for each one, because she loves them and she wanted to name them. In my honest opinion, naming a teddy
MOHAMAD would be an honor, because he was a great man that lead many people to an better life and if a child wishes to praise him by naming one of their favorite possessions in his honor so be it. However I dont agree with some of his teaching, maybe because I am very limited in knowing them. I say its a childs' teddy get over it or accept it, either way it does not hurt you.

i can inform you for a certainty that Christians won't revolt interior the streets in case you call your cute li'l teddy undergo after Jesus or any of the Apostles, or Moses, or the different Biblical character. And, no, i don't think of that's only too overdue to show out that the folk who could desire to revolt over considered one of those element might want somebody to place some prozac of their water grant... honestly, only the thought they could get so violent over some thing so stupid terrifies me. i do unlike understanding that such explosive human beings are strolling around unfastened in my own u . s . a .. *shudders* "explosive human beings" (pun actually meant)

Yep, you should definitely hang someone for naming a teddy bear Mohammed. I'm sure God really wants people who name teddy bears certain names killed for doing so. My dad's name is Dan and I named my teddy bear after him...kill me for commiting such a heinous act.

And I suppose if you fly a plane into a few buildings (for allah or mohammed or whoever) you go straight to heaven and get rewarded with 40 virgins.

It's a teddy bear you dimwit...grow a sense of humor and get over yourself.

BTW, I just named all of my stuffed animals Mohammed and Allah, just to piss you off!

Thank you for once again confirming my fear and distaste for all organized religion, the most divisive force ever. A teddy bear---- a teddy bear ???---come on- why do you all want to argue, bicker and fight over everything -!- land, belief systems, imagined hurts and insults --- and now a blankety blank TEDDY BEAR !!!! Save me from the righteous- they are ruining mankind.

I don't see it as being that big of a deal either. Being a Christian, if my little brother had a teddy bear and he wanted to name it Jesus, it would be kind of weird because out of all of the names to choose.. but I wouldn't mind.

You are such a whiner. Stop crying about it. You people are far too reactionary to be considered a religion of peace.

When angry mobs take to the streets with axes and clubs and swords calling for someone to be KILLED just because they let a bunch of Muslim brats name a teddy bear after a false prophet, it says alot about your religion.

1.5 billion is too many. Islam only grows so fast because you people breed faster than any other group in the world.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to name a cute little Teddy Bear after Mohamed !
Teddy Bears got their name after U.S. President Teddy Roosevelt refused to shoot a live bear cub in an act of senseless violence . Muslims slit the throats of animals and leave them to die in honor of Mohamad and Allah .

A name is a name. Muslims can not claim to be able to decide what a child is and is not allowed to call their toy. No religion can claim rights over a name.

Would you think it was ridiculous if I tried to prevent anyone from calling their soft bear "Edward", because it offended me?
