Depends on who it ends for. Humans will always be the Earth's worst enemy as well as ourselves. It remains to be seen if people straighten up before we create a super virus on the same scale as the Black Plague...or...if we decide it's time to get smart and clean things up.
As for religiously, I think everything is coming to a head. There are too many religions fighting each other based on stupid rationalizations that make no sense to anyone with a brain. Fanatics, terrorists, zealots, hypocrites and the apathetic are all speeding us to our doom based on their stands concerning God and religion. Most don't use their common sense to curtail their fatalistic behavior, and thus, most are causing more and more strife and war and pain than a world so full of advancements should have to suffer. I think the antichrist isn't exactly a person, but a group of people standing behind a flawed ideal that will bring about the end of things as we know it. I also believe there will be survivors, but it remains to be seen if the wise or the ignorant are the eventual victors.

Sad, but yeah it's like Suicidal said...I can't handle multiple viewings of sad movies so I'll go back to ones that make me happy. If I were you I'd write a satire. Those for me, personally, always have some sort of effect on me. A dark comedy perhaps? Something that's funny but scarily sad at the same time (think: Dr. Strangelove). Because, well...the things that scare us the most end up being the funniest. BQ: Shawshank or Amelie BQ2: Grave of Fireflies or Pan's Labyrinth

Are we living in the end times read this... "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away" (2 timothy chapter 3;4) Sounds familiar, thats whats happening now!!!

The end of the "world", as in the end of the "Earth" or the end of the world "as we know it"... and I feel fine (sorry couldn't resist)?
The definitions of these vary, so don't worry about it, just worry about cultivating a mind that is altruistic, wise, gentle and patient... the rest is gravy.

I THINK IT IS THE END OF THE WORLD( THE END OF DAYS ARE AT HAND)
EVEN IF THE WORLD LASTS FOR ANOTHER HUNDRED YEARS IT IS STILL THE END OF THE WORLD, BECAUSE WE DON;T KNOW WHEN IT WILL END.
EVERY TWO THOUSAND YEARS SOMETHING BIG HAPPENS. 2000 YEARS AGO THIS DECEMBER 25 IS WHEN JESUS WAS BORN. WHO IS TO SAY THAT THE WORLD WON'T END THEN? 2000 YEARS SOMETHING BIG.
2000 YEARS BEFORE CHRIST WAS THE EGYPTIAN (CLEOPATRA)
HMMM, MAKES YA THINK

our own death! Is the end the end, the time when we are judged, not in a human way but judged by God, who knows all about us, who loves us, not in a human way but as a Father loves. It's not the end and who cares if it is, the only thing that matters is our own salvation and when our last breath is taken, if we are happy, we have lived a life worth living and God surely loves us.

Some believe when you die it is the end of the world. But there will be signs of it. I just don't believe all the signs are there. Not yet anyway.

Technically the earth will continue for 1,007 years from the day the coming Antichrist confirms an Israeli peace treaty. Then it will be completely recreated anew and without sin on it. And I'll be there to see it. You?
