I became a Christian on the second of June, 1996 when I was baptised publicly as a testimony of my faith. Growing up, I had been taught that the Trinity was a pagan doctrine and that anyone who thought Jesus was God was a polytheist. I believed what I had been taught and actively tried to disuade anyone who upheld Trinitarian beliefs.
When I became a Christian, I did not understand the triune nature of the Godhead. But I did understand the person of the risen Christ, who died for me, and for you. That was such a revalation! To know him, personally - to have the scales lifted from my eyes after all those years! It was like a breath of sweet, fresh air. And to have the Holy Spirit convict me - an awesome experience, an answer to prayer.
Now, 11 years later, I realise that what I was taught about the Trinity was false. My parents had been deceived. I had been deceived. But God, in his infinate grace, was patient with me and revealed to me the true nature of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
The religion I was brought up in had deliberately changed the reading of John 1:1 to suit their theology. When I found out the extent of their deceit, I was horrified. Even today, when I try to explain how false their beliefs are on this vital subject, I am ridiculed and accused of hating them.
Finding out that Jesus is God and that God is 3 persons but still one God has been the most wonderfull thing in my Christian life. Hallelujah! Where had I been all my life?

Actually after I learned the truth about the trinity, did I become a true Christian.
After I learned that the trinity is a pagan doctrine.
After I learned that Jesus didn't teach the trintiy,
After I learned that God can't die
After I learned these things,
I became a true Christian, and not an unbeliever.
2 Cor 4:4
If we believe Jesus is more than an image, we are blinded by Satan.

Believing Christ is Lord is the base of Christianity, hense the term Christian. Everything else man worships are false idols. Christ advised "No one comes to the father escept through me". No one, nor thing can take your prayer to Jesus. Just you!!!! Have a Merry Christmas!
