It really depends on the situation and what I am wearing. If I am just bumming around,it is more out of habit and comfort. But if I am wearing a pleted mini with heels and out on the town,it is a vanity thing then.

I don't understand, what is comfortable about crossing your legs? The damage you are doing to your hips is over the top. Some woman cross their legs because they can, those of us that can't; cross them at the ankles.

Comfort. I normally wear pants, so it doesn't matter if I cross them or not. But I feel much more comfortable with my legs crossed.

convenience and arrogance. I positioned on lots of shorts, so it looks greater constructive with my legs crossed, yet I go them no remember what i'm donning lots of the time merely because of the fact that's greater mushy. I hate sitting at a kitchen table that's no longer tall sufficient to sit down down which incorporate your legs crossed.

Both... It's polite for a woman to sit with her knees together, especially while wearing a skirt. Legs crossed is just one way to achieve this.
