probably not...
btw to j_m_camilleri many people in south america call their sons jesus but pronounce it differently and many muslims call their sons muhammed.. i dont recall seeing anybody imprisoned for that but i do recall seeing many guys with the name muhammed and jesus being imprisoned for crimes involving murder, rape, drugs etc.
For some reason i dont think the teddy was going to disrespect the 'name' in anyway.
As usual a minority of so-called devout muslims went OTT over the issue!!

Seems to me that everything to do with Infidels is offencive to them, The people themselves are easy led either by fear of punishment or the Clerics who blaspheme racial abuse on every other religion in this world.

Islam is not supposed to be run like this but it does happen, i think some of these radical Clerics want a taste of what they induce on other poor people, give them a public flogging maybe it will bring them to their senses.

Good job Christians don't use crucifixion for some of the insults that they received, then again these are only a small minority of the Islamic states, clerics who still live in the second century.

Mind you some of the people over here who are Islamic break every rule in the Koran Wow i think there would be nothing left of them if those clerics got to work.

There is nothing offensive about ISLAM. Consider Koran.

Yes, there might be so many things offensive about the Muslims, who practice Islam.

Unfortunately the things that are not offensive to islam are offensive to the rest of the world. Things like imprisoning a teacher for naming a bear Muhammad. Things like beating a rape victim. Things like suicide bombers. And many other things.

praising Islam I would imagine. That would not be offensive to them. I guess.

Perhaps the question should be: Is there anything not offensive ABOUT Islam.

For all the apologetics,... Islam seems to me to be the worst of the three major religions, or at least, the one most given to fanaticism.

Divorce certainly is not offensive to Islam, if the man does it. All a man has to say to divorce his wife is "I divorce you" three times and it is done.

That is a great question. I think they want to serve God very much. Good inentions are very commendable.

There is much to respect in most religions, even if we differ on key points!

I love to say "there are no perfect men on earth just perfect intentions"!

Muslin intentions are honourable, just like ours; although car bombs as cowardly and unloving.

Muslims believe it is important to share what they have with the poor and needy.

Jesus said those who help the needy are also serving Him (Matthew 25:40).

Muslims believe they must do good. It is hard to argue with that good intention.

But we must disagree about the power of good deeds to save you! Always a "but..."!!! Sorry.

Muslims believe it is good to fast from sunrise to sunset during Ramadan. Ramadan is a month on the Muslim calendar.

Jesus said that God rewards those who fast (in order to focus more on God, and less on our owns self) and pray, especially if we do it in secret and not for the purpose of getting praise from others (Matthew 6:16-18).

Muslims believe in taking a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in their lifetime if they can afford it. A pilgrimage is a trip to a holy place.

John Bunyan’s book, Pilgrim’s Progress, describes a Christian’s pilgrimage through life...although we Christians do not do it as an order. We freely choose to take trips to places that inspire us!

It seems silly, on the surface, that Muslims believe they should pray five times a day, exactly!

Yet many good Christians pray exactly 5 times too, without noticing the number (a brief "grace" 3 times at 3 meals, and a morning prayer, plus a short bed time prayer)....and Muslins pray longer than some sanctimonious Christians who pray only briefly, 5 times (or less) daily!

Unfortunately, they virtually worship a false God.

Islam contradicts Christian teaching, and leads to Pharacy-type excesses. I had to throw that in too!
