I have some ideas that I want to combine into a tattoo but I can't come up with anything on my own. I want someone to help me but I don't know anyone around where I live. I can't really pay anyone but their ideas would be greatly appreciated. If you help me and come up with a design I will give you full credit.

Anyway my story is I lost my real father almost three years ago and went into deep depression (broken heart) but a year ago I met a police officer who let me talk to him (he mended my broken heart) and now he and I are so close that I consider him to be my father and he considers me to be his daughter. I kind of consider him to be my guardian angel. If anyone can come up with a design that could represent this story it would be great. Thank you all ahead of time.

Apologies if you've already considered & decided against this...

The artist you go to is really the best person to talk to about design; more than any normal artist, they will take into account your skin tone, contours & shape. Plus, they have lots of experience with tattoos representing a variety of situations and can give excellent suggestions.

It probably isn't precisely the answer you want, but from the experience of many it seems the best option.

why don't you find a custom tattoo artist to help you design something? my artist only does custom work, he doesn't use flash or just a drawing that someone has brought to him. the tattoos that he does are always amazing and a lot better than anything i could ever think up on my own. also a tattoo artist will be better at figuring out something that will translate well from paper to skin. not all drawings look good as tattoos.
do your research and find a great tattoo artist because they aren't all talented. chosing the artist really is the MOST important step in getting a tattoo as far as i'm concerned.
and most custom artists don't charge more because they are creating your tattoo for you, it's fixed into the cost of getting tattooed.

Find a talented artist who does custom pieces. Sit and talk to him (or her) and tell your story. Then the two of you can come up with something together that's really special and one-of-a-kind.

Remember that tattoo artists are ARTISTS first. They love to create beautiful images whether on skin, canvas, paper... whatever is their preferred medium! The artist you choose will appreciate the opportunity to be given creative freedom while honoring your needs as well.

Good luck!!!

You have my condolences, but at the same time I am glad you found someone to talk to. If you want a tattoo designed, go to a tattoo shop and explain it to the artist. They will draw one up for you, and make any changes you suggest.
