I work the night shift and I got sick of this one particular co-worker (who relieves me) ALWAYS coming in late. So I wrote a memo to the supervisor. And now I am the rat!!

People keep saying brown nosing.. I could care less about being friends with my supervisor, but after working 12 hours when it is time to go, I am ready to go!

This is funny about life, I have learned this same lesson.
See whether they come to work on time or not is not really most important...it is a matter of "is he or she a key player" in the game of office politics.
That is the question? If this person brings allot to the table of keeping things funny or less stressful to the boss, or that person has leadership abilities that the others do not have...then they will be allowed a little more slack in the arena of promptness.
Note: I know an employee who arrives 15 minutes late everyday yet never takes a break and never takes a lunch and has never missed a day that wasn't planned as vacation? So, this all can be taken into consideration too.
