It depends on whats exactly wrong with it...only a vet could tell you.

I couldn't begin to estimate the cost for you without knowing what the diagnosis is.

I can say, however, that the longer you wait for treatment, the more expensive it will get! And it will be harder and harder to successfully treat. You also run the risk of the eye becoming infected (if it isn't already) and a systemic infection could kill your pup!

You will need to be able to tell the vet how long the eye has been like that - or if you got the pup in that condition and aren't sure when or how it happened. If that's the case, give the previous owner a call and try to get them to tell you. The more information you can give to your vet, the better, because you'll have to pay for fewer tests.

Good luck!

It sounds like she may have cherry eye. She needs to see a vet to determine what the problem is, many eye problems can just be remedied with prescription drops.

It sounds like there is something in her eye or that it might even be a tumor. You need to get her to a vet to have it looked at. They might be able to do surgery (which will usually run 2k or above) or they may have to remove the eye.

If you can't afford this, then you shouldn't just "keep anyways." You need to make sure she gets the help she needs- even if it means turning her over to more capable hands. It's not only cruel, but illegal to deny a dog medical treatment.
