Normal? It's not uncommon. Someone once proposed that the endorphins released upon exercise may have something to do with this. But I don't know if that theory went anywhere.

yawning occurs when the body transitions from a state of inactivity to being active or vice versa. this effects some more than others.

probably tells you that you don't want to do it. but you should. some people yawn when they are about to do something they don't really enjoy. mechanism for your brain to tell you to go to sleep so you don't have to do something.
