The majority of the drivers, including Dale Jr, live in Mooresville. If not in Mooresville, still around Lake Norman in Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Denver. I have been by several driver's homes. I actually live like a mile from Aric Almirola, about two-three from Rusty Wallace, 3 miles by boat from Kasey Kahne and Jamie McMurray (they live on the same street), etc....

Dale Jr not only has a small go kart track, he has an entire town (Whiskey River) behind his house, complete with a saloon and hotel. It is his personal playground for he and his friends since he can't do much in public. He has a huge estate, which his sister Kelley lives on as well. He has bought adjoining land for friends, too.

He lives in Moorseville right now, but he may move to Austrailia:
"NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr has put his hand up to switch to V8 Supercars if a team is prepared to hire him.

Earnhardt Jr has caught the V8 bug after making a surprise visit to the final round of the V8 championship at Phillip Island yesterday as part of a two-week holiday to Australia.
Voted America's most popular NASCAR driver, Earnhardt Jr said he would definitely give consideration to making a move to the Aussie tourers.

"I will drive my butt off in Cup cars (NASCAR) until I'm done and then if somebody wants to hire me I will move to Australia," Earnhardt Jr, son of seven-time NASCAR champion Dale Earnhardt who was killed in 2001 in the Daytona 500, said."
