I'm trying to prevent oil from sliding down the side of the bottle. Those large plastic bottles of oil are hard enough to hold as it is without the oil making them slippery. Please mention where you bought it as well as what it looks like. Thanks!

You can get them at any kitchen supply store or at Bed Bath & Beyond. You can also get them at places like Target, Wal-Mart & Fred Meyer. Some are plain transparent glass with a nice pour on the top. I use these for my vegetable oil and my vinegars and they work great. For olive oil though, you want a darker tinted bottle, because it helps keep it fresh and perserves the taste. I have a ceramic one with a cork spout at the top and I never have any problems with it. You can get them at the stores I mentioned above as well. Mine has olives and their branches on it.

You can get "pouring spouts" at any well stocked kitchen supply store......they resemble the pour spouts that they use in bars, in the liquor bottles.....they work great and will put an end to that nasty greasy feeling on the bottles.......I transfer my oils to glass bottles that the aforementioned pour spouts fit into nicely and go from there......they are also a very accurate measuring tool, as sometimes you get way too much oil when you're pouring it.........these pour spouts eliminate this......If you have a Beverages and More or a Smart and Final near you, they carry them......and are very inexpensive.......Enjoy!!

Go to the hardware store
buy an oil can
{think of the tin man..oil me!}
wash thoroughly
fill with oil of your choice
pump the lever a couple of times to prime it, then, get your measuring spoons out and see how much oil is one squirt.
You can find very pretty oil cans, mine is enamel covered, lovely.
I use mine for my olive oil, as it stores best protected from the light, and it is the oil I generally just throw into the pan while cooking.
I will never give up my oil can!
Hope you try this, it works!

This is what they look like:

I think you can find these at most kitchen and cooking places or sections in malls or department stores. I know they are pretty popular because of "drizzling," which is popular right now. Where I found this photo there is one to buy online (scroll down).

Use one of those bottle inserts that bars use for dispensing booze. They're cheap, durable, and don't drip.
