I wanted to be kissed...so I edged closer to him on our first date, brushed his arm with mine by 'accident' and even suggested that I couldnt speak to him at first as he made me so shy...then he turned and just kissed me while we were talking...by suprise....just like that...and it was beautiful! It was done with such gentle passion that it took my breath away...he didnt need to ask me...it would have ruined it!

Your idea sounds good! That method has worked on me before :D or you could:
Invite her to go somewhere lilke to the cinema or to the park and then just stare at her then sit back relaw and lean into kiss her!

don't ask. you'll just make her even more nervous. But you have to make sure she wants it. This is what you do. Just like the Hitch movie; you go in 90% and have her just go 10%. That is how you'll know if she wants to kiss you back.
