I might've been able to help if I knew who is this guy you're talking about?

If we're talking about Jesus Christ, then, the past tense would apply, isn't it?

Cheers!

Rastafarian's use that same scripture to claim Jesus was black and had an afro like hair. not true.

Jesus was Jewish. The Messiah could not have come any other way as He was to come from the Tribe of Judah and a descendant of David. It matters little what colour His skin was however your curiosty will be only fully answered when you meet Him. He was ressurected BODILY so we'll all find out on J-Day. In the meantime its best just to concentrated on what He said rather then what He looked like.

If it was important for our salvation that we know the colour of His skin and whether he had brown or blues eye then most certainly His apostles (eyewitnesses) would have seen fit to describe Him physically. It is Who He is and what He did not how He looked that is important

Well, nobody's pure black. But it is irrelevant anyway as the wool reference is a color reference and no one color of hair would equate to 'black'. Same with the eyes. Anyone with an intense look could be described as having eyes of fire. The Bible is famous for not indulging in descriptions, in using very few adjectives. We have no idea for example what Peter looked like.

Hair white like wool. Jesus is the 'light' of the world. He is the bright & morning star.

Black people who are born of His Spirit, cleansed by His blood will be resurrected like Jesus is when He resurrected. A new everlasting body, soul & spirit. I think people will raise up a ray of different colors.

Jesus would have looked Jewish, yet without the sin nature. All other humans were born with the sin nature & this will affect a persons looks.

Sin nature would be a maschievous or rebellious look.

Jesus was Jewish and lived in the middle east; thus he would look like some Israeli men do now. Swarthy skin, dark hair, blue or brown eyes. Fantastically attractrive, judging from the Israeli men I've seen and know :)

Well you have to consider where He was during His life on earth. Think about the middle eastern people their skin color their hair color and how they look. I would assume He was dark skinned with wool like hair. I know He wasn't blond with blue eyes and white skin.

It doesn't really matter what He looks like all that matter is that He came to save us from our Sins. To die for us to give us a second chance at life. What a blessing!

There is no way Jesus is a black man. Coming from the east he must of been dark haired, with olive skin.
Not white, not black, but colored.

The scritures are silint on the color of Jesus's skin, however he was from the middle east. He was of Jewish decent so I would tend to believe that his skin was dark but not actually Black.

According to the region and times he lived in, he had skin color of Middle Eastern and Indian cultures.

He wasn't as dark as a person from Africa, and not as light as an British or English person

according to some theories, the jews of today are not the original herbrews, and the original hebrews are still scattered throughout the world, and some say that the original hebrews are the african american people and other blacks around the world. Anyway it doesnt matter.

The second poster is right. It's kind of funny, because every picture or statue or w/e of Jesus has been white skinned, when he was acctually fairly tan.
