Hiya everyone on your p.c. Approximately how long does it take to scan for viruses using AVG Free. And scan for spyware using AVG- Anti Spyware?

To Charley Horse. Thanks for your answer ould you min telling me how you do your scans in "safe mode" as im not sure?

When you suspect malware is on your computer, it is best to
do your scans in "safe mode". Next best would be to do scans with all browsers, programs closed and disconnected from the internet.
The scans will be faster in safe mode as all of your computer's resources can be utilized for scanning.

There is really no way to tell just how long a "scan" is going to take. It depends on how big the hard drive is and how much data is on that drive.

the first time it takes pretty long but other times it doesn't take long at all.
