Because they're waiting for someone to prove their theory wrong, its torture to have such a mentality. They want to be set free from that downward spiraling cyclone they're trapped in.

Do you realize that when you ask a question like this, it makes you seem unintelligent or at the very least, judgemental? The label, Religion & Spirituality, only refers to what type of questions may be ask, not what type of answers many be given. My view, as an atheist, is just as valid as yours or are you trying to insinuate that they are not? Are you trying to say that because we atheist lack a belief in your God, somehow we are less knowledgeable on the subject? I assure you, that with many, that is not the case. As a matter of fact, the reason alot of us are atheist, is because we are acquainted with religion all to well. Some atheist in this section know more about religion, than your average every day Christian. Consider this, the next time you casually skip over an atheist's answer, because you could be missing out on some good advice or a very knowledgeable answer.

This is yahoo answers.
You are guaranteed to get a huge variety of answers from any group. Everyone is allowed to answer.
If you want a christian answer to a christian question, best to contact a church...specifically, the church that thinks exactly the same way you do. You'll get the answers you like that way.
Last thing I knew, y/a isn't called Christian y/a.
It's a nice cross-section of the world. Lots of variety. That's what I like about y/a.

Yes, that's very funny that peope of different beliefs answer all kinds of questions on this open forum. Good point. Here's a question for you....when you typed this question, what category did Y!A try to put it into? It seems this is exactly where atheists belong, as being an atheist means you don't believe in any god. Tell me again how that doesn't belong in the religion section?

Just because I'm an Atheist doesn't mean I don't know anything about religion. It fascinates me and I probably know more about obscure religion things than most of you Christian folks. I think i'd rather have an atheist answering my religion questions because they can no more instead of being really biased towards one (sometimes...)

Oh, I'm sorry.. I didn't know atheists couldn't discuss religion or spirituality. I didn't know this section was clearly ONLY for religious-minded folk.
I didn't know that atheists couldn't be spiritual or that they couldn't have an interest in religion or that they couldn't debate others who are clearly ignorant of their own belief system.

How precisely do you outline the religion of a question? Do your questions get baptized till now you ask them? and how precisely might their religious view make certain who solutions them? I see no mechanism how that would artwork. Btw, did you recognize this question is the main asked question in Y!A... with over 70.000 cases asked? you somewhat incredibly ought to apply the hunt function. yet I do understand, you do not incredibly understand if that's a christian seek container or not... in line with possibility you ought to pour holy water on your show to sanctify it... that way you will not make your self seem as though an entire moron.

there is a very fine line between the two it depends on the age upbringing and the experience and maturity if not I might just put it this way why do we all think of God more often when we need help. So let them be only time will tell the side of the line they will be....

Well, there aren't a lot of questions relevant to religious beliefs (or lack thereof) in the Home & Garden section...

Funny, we think the same thing when the fundies try to influence science curriculum in the schools. Tell you what, if the religious cult members stay out of science and politics, the atheists will leave you to your little delusions.

Yes... We love to tell like it is! Jesus is a BASTARD! Saint Joseph was not his legitimate father and the Virgin Mary was never married to the Holy Ghost!
On top of that Jesus is a vicious killer of innocent children!
Revelation 2:23 (NIV) (Jesus says) I WILL STRIKE HER CHILDREN DEAD. Then ALL THE CHURCHES WILL KNOW that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds
Only a bloody tyrant would talk like that! Christians demand a much higher standard of morality from their clergy, and the preachers, and the politicians than from Jesus Christ! That's hypocrisy!
