Most Christians are not interested in either the teachings or saying of Christ. Even if he said some thing, they don't normally follow it with eagerness. They choose to follow there own desire. Jesus clearly said he is not to be served, but to serve. But look at how they are answering you. You have to learn the origin of Christianity before any thing.

Human have a need to acknowledge superiority whether it is deemed appropriate intrinsically or compelled by those of a higher station. In acknowledgement of this superiorty comes a natural sense of wonderment, and if appropriate gratitude.
The greater the logical complexity the greater the awe. I suppose that the admiration for Albert Einstein would by some be considered worship.
So if this is directly toward a Supernatural Entity we call it worship. Historically God has been worthy of this. Love me,love my family, so if we love God then we must also love His Son ! So we worship Jesus if we thnik He is the Son of God.

We don't have to - there are many in this world who throw aside the gift God gave them through Christ Jesus. I choose to worship Him because He is worthy. He lowered Himself to become man and took upon Himself my sins and paid my punishment. He loves and cares for me. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Through Him everything was created. He is God Almighty, part of the Triune Godhead. I choose to worship Him, because I love Him.
