I am going to give you my symptoms and hopefully someone will recognise them and give me some ideas as to how to explain it to my doctor...which I shall call shortly.

Ok, I have acid refluxe desease.. but this is a little advanced symptoms even for that. It feels like my throat is on fire most of the time. I feel better for a moment ot two after taking a couple of bites of food. Then its back to the acid in the throat. and "throwup" in my mouth. Horrible bitter stuff, really really bad. Also it feels around my neck like my glands are swollen. Nothing going on to account for that. And my back, on right side, feels like there is a huge knot or lump, kinda like someone is trying to shove a fist in my back. Head ache like no tomorrow. horrible.
And last but not least, I have gained 40 pounds for no apparent reason. I swear, I am barely eating and no not all pasteries lol.
Someone.. please help me talk to my doc and help me help my doc help me..ty

Sounds like an underactive thyroid. The symptoms can be managed with medication. Get to your doctor asap.

I am sorry you feel so bad:[
Iam not a doctor....but the back problem kinda sounds like a kidney infection. That can make you whole body hurt....could also have something to do with your acid problem.
If you typically don't gain weight ,well could be thyroid...but you really need to see your Doctor asap...Do you have a fever?
If it is a kidney infection he can give you med to clear it up.
Drink cranberry juice to clean you system...this will only help a lil.Sounds like you got alot going on....It could have started as a random cold...but now it sounds like an infection of sorts...Hope this give you a lil help....But honestly et to a Doctor...If you cant there is no shame in going to the ER .....Not to worry you but it could be something more serious so please go to the Dr.

What you said was perfect to say to your doctor. Make sure to mention that there was the 40 lb weight gain, that can be a symptom of a thyroid problem. I know what you're saying about wanting to see if this was what you should say to your doctor. Forget the people that are being rude about you asking your question here.

Hope you feel better soon!

I think you should just tell it to the doctor the same way you said it with what you wrote. He will better be able to make sense of it all because he is the doctor. Make yourself a note about your symptoms to be sure you tell him everything when you go to see him. This will help keep you from getting nervous and forgetting to tell him something that might be important for him to know.

To be honest with you, tell your doctor just what you said here. Your doctor will treat you better if you tell him, or her, what's going on in your own words. Don't worry about not knowing how to say something, just say it. A good doctor will ask lots of questions and help treat you.

Best wishes for your health.

YOUR SYMPTOMS MAY BE CAUSED BY MORE THAN ONE PROBLEM. 1. HIATAL HERNIA 2. GALLSTONES 3. THYROID
I RECOMMEND GOING TO WebMD.COM USE SYMPTOM CHECKER POINT TO THE CHEST AREA AND THEN THE STERNUM A LIST WILL COME UP CLICK ON HIATAL HERNIA FOR INFO ON SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT.
DO THE SAME FOR THE OTHER TWO PROBLEMS I LISTED: FOR GALLSTONES CLICK THE ABDOMEN THEN THE UPPER ABDOMEN ON THE LIST CLICK GALLSTONES THEN DO SAME FOR THYROID ALL THE INFO IS TO LONG TO GIVE TO YOU HERE AND IS THE SAME INFO WE HAD FOR OUR PATIENTS. I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU. GOOD LUCK

Sounds like a thryoid issue. Why would you be sending a question like that to yahoo, instead of going to the doctor? It doesn't make sense.

Just explain all of that and that should give your doc an idea. He will probably check your thyroid.
