Global warming isn't an argument of the facts. It's an argument of name calling and intimidation.

By calling people who don't subscribe to exactly what they believe names, they give themselves a sense of self importance.

If the science was true, if the science was known, then there wouldn't be any reason for these childish tactics.

Why would they be called "Conspiracy Theorists"? That dosn't make sense. Usually a conspiracy theorist believe that a certain group is behind something. The only way they could be called a conspiracy theorist, would be if they completely believed that the government was behind the GW scare to cause people to pay more taxes for a cause the people believe in.

The thing I find scary is that people flock to things that an Ex-VP wants to champion, but doesn't adhere to himself.

I'm not naive enough to just swallow something hook, line and sinker because an EX-VP is championing it on a bogus documentary. The people that believe W is caused by human activity and not a natural phenomenon, also trust Hollyweird to know more than them.

These people need to wake up and use their own common sense.

Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.
The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.
This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.
Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is
becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).
As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).
When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.
As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':
Humans did not cause it.
Humans cannot stop it.

I have 2 Black Cats in Black Tights that keep me warm and cuddly on these cold Global Warming nights in my Las Vegas spandex tights. I remember back in High School when I was being lectured on the coming Ice Age and that by the year 2000 it was going to be so cold that I would have to wear my black and sexy spandex tights in order to please Hillary Clinton...lol

i love how people call him hypocritical because he has a lavish lifestyle...people who do this are morons and are always the first to tell you that we aren't the major contributor to global warming. ok morons, let me see if we can somehow get this through your thick skull:

i understand that the earth has cycles. but those cycles usually take a very long time. now, i know that in your minds 150 years is a really long time. heck, you think some great being created the earth only 4000years ago...
the length of time climate change usually takes allows for more of a stable change of state for our planet. because of our way of life (you know, gas guzzling cars, etc.), we are causing a very rapid and, thus, unstable transition into a warmer planet.
yes, al gore lives like he doesn't care. but at least he recognizes what we're doing and is doing his part to try to slow down the climate change.
if you still don't get it then go listen to your rush Limbaugh and wait till its your turn to keel over.

Because how else can they explain the fact that the vast majority of scientists, world leaders, and corporate leaders all say it's real and mostly caused by us?

These people aren't stupid. They have access to the best scientists in the world, and they've surely heard the "skeptics" arguments.

What other explanation is there besides a giant conspiracy?

Or, that it's real and mostly caused by us.

hi catbaby or is it babycat-
every one has right to their opinion. the peopel who claim to be the champion of global warming, many a times are ignorant about the other factores controling the earth environment. before giving opinion about any such concept one shoudl go deeper in to the concept and should not just browse the surface.

Because most of the people believe that global warming is not real. Because although Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" has all this data that shows how we alone are destroying the earth, there is plenty of evidence that shows that this is part of the natural trend of the earth's cycle. I believe that we are a contributing factor, but I do not believe that we are the main cause of global warming. Besides, for all of Gore's harping about the use of electricity, he uses more than just about anybody. Hypocritical, don't you think?
