Whenever I click on iTunes, Safari, or System Preferences, the out-line of a question mark comes up! Then, when I try to open them from finder this message comes up:
"Application iTunes could not be opened because it was made by a newer version of iTunes"

*NOTE* That was not the original message word for word.....It wouldn't let me copy the original.

The first instruction any competent technician would give you would be to remove the versions causing difficulties and then reinstall the software program.

The reason for this is that often files in the program (programs are made up of many files) can become corrupt. When even a single file in a software program becomes corrupt, it can cause all sorts of odd behaviors, and loss of functionality and loss of features. It can also cause the program to freeze or crash repeatedly.

The best was to fix this is to repair the program, which is to replace the corrupted files with sound files. The way you do this is to either perform a Repair, such as on an Office application, via the Help tab, then by selecting Repair, or by simple removing and then reinstalling the program.

So, I encourage you to do exactly that, and then see if the issue is fixed.
