An hour ago, I made cookie dough for sugar cookies and I put the dough in the refrigerator to chill.

When I put the dough on the board and put flour on my rolling pin, the dough stuck to the pin!

Am I supposed to freeze the dough, or something else?

Give it a few moments out of the refrigerator and perhaps use a light dusting of flour on the pin and board. You should be fine

You could shape the dough into a thin disk, wrapped in plastic wrap and then chill the for a while longer. Then if you have wax or parchment paper you could try dusting it with flour and placing the disc of dough between two sheets and then rolling it out, that way the dough can't stick to the pin. Dust your cookie cutters with flour with each use. Hope this helps, Happy Baking :)

Freezing is not necessary, just in the fridge for at least an hour and I usually do more than that, usually 2-4 and I've even done over night.. Dust your wax paper or base that you are rolling on with flour, put flour on your hands and flour on the rolling pin. If need be you can add just a wee bit more flour to the dough as you break it off to work with it.

Let it chill a little longer. One thing that isn't considered in many recipes is climate. It's really important. Depending on the moisture and I feel really dumb right now, but how high you live, it will make a difference. Especially in baking. I like my cookie dough to be quite firm.

I don't think freezing will be a good idea. Freezing the dough might change the chemical compounds. How the butter and flour mix is very important to successful cookies. Just let them chill longer.

Make sure your dough is chilled well; I usually make mine the night before. I do not let it rest before rolling. Make sure your rolling surface is well floured, or use Silpat. Sprinkle some flour on the dough and the roller. You shouldn't have a problem. Sometimes if my dough was not dense enough, I have ran into rolling problems. Hope this helps.

Use more flour.

Dont' use a glass rolling pin filled w/ ice water; it makes condensation and stuff WILL stick to it.
