I have started noticing a tremble in my left hand during parts of the day. I also have a numb felling in my pinky and ring finger on my left hand. My arm feels like it is asleep from the elbow down usually in the morning to mid afternoon, then comes back in the evening. Is this diet related, or could something be serious.

For tremors and numbness you should really see a neurologist i work at one and i see these kind of things everyday. it has nothing to do with your diet you might have a pinched nerve. It is probably your ulnar nerve it is the one in the elbow in between your to bones there is a nerve there that can get hit or if you put to much pressure on it then it can give you numbness. But seriously see a neurologist before it gets worse. And no you wont need surgery.

Also those two fingers get numb when it is the Ulnar nerve!!

Do you have any aching in your arm as well? It could be a sign of carpal tunnel. I would check with a doctor on this one. It couldn't be caffeine related or your whole body would be tingling and I doubt that sleeping on your arm would make it be numb for hours.

I agree with the first poster - it could be quite serious and you should see a doctor right away. It could be heart, nerves or something orthopedic causing the problem. I doubt it's diet related, unless you are very under or over weight, but it could be medication related, if you are on any.

numbness in pinky and ring fingers could be from nerve irritation... could be from sleeping funny, or a possible injury causing swelling to push on the nerve that runs from your elbow to your fingers. You should go see a doctor (orthopedist) to get a definite diagnosis

You could be sleeping on it to make it go numb during the night. Caffeine can contribute a little to twitching as well.
