They are gifted with potential intelligence. Usually, a student with an IQ of 130 or above is classified as gifted.

A "gifted child" is one who has special talents... Like a math whiz at 5. An accomplished musician at 4.
They can be "gifted" in any area.

My brother was gifted, meaning he excelled in all academics or certain ones such as math. Usually a gifted child is put in a program or school that allows them to use their abilities to the fullest instead of becoming bored or unchallenged in a regular class with average kids.

the difference is the school and the teacher he gets I think
