I agree with u !! Most all of us want to go to heaven, but none of us are ready to die. I guess it is because of the relationships and all the friendships that we get in this world. All of that love and the fun exciting stuffs just makes us be attached to this world a lot. But then we all know about heaven and how amazing it is. Still this worldly thing are somethings that we experienced and then heaven is a foreign place to us. None of us want to experience it that fast , since we don't know anything detailed about it !!

HEHE Good question !!

Nice question!

I certainly would agree with you if this question is addressed to the believers that there is heaven. No question on that especially to Theists but surely not to the Atheists. When heaven is brought out it is death that should be faced. Really' majority of the Theists has the fear of death. Death is the end of life. The enjoyment of living ceases which is why a living person could not accept death outright. They don't want to die early but they wish to go to heaven given an option.

This is obvious because why would choose hell from heaven. It is the comfort and ease as well as peace of mind they want. Hell brings evil as heaven brings good. It is choosing from beauty and ugly. Only that Heaven and Hell are destinations after death. I still contend that nobody wish to die. What is important is you are always ready to submit yourself to God with a clean heart.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

I absolutely agree with you JDM.Everyone wants to believe in an afterlife because there consciousness just cannot take the reason that Death is Nothingness.
People just cannot accept the notion that physical Death results in "Nothingness".Up above I meant to say their consciousness just cannot take...Also They devise this notion of an afterlife so people will develop a sense of Right and Wrong. If there were no afterlife ,they would raise Hell like there is no tomorrow.
You see the cornerstone of the belief is Faith. No one wants to admit it so they say to commit suicide is a sin but if you die saving another's life you will reap the rewards of Heaven. It's just that no one is that sure.
You see all of these Religions are based on the Denial of Death. When my body dies the most important part of me survives in bliss for eternity. The soul/spirit is indestructible. How many people do you know who believe they are going to Hell for their behavior while on this Earth?Darn few I suspect.Rather than scourge the evil ethics from our behavior we transform them into saying that our weakth, fane, and power,etc... are rewards from God.
And we give our souls/spirits no bodily parts because we cannot imagine that a God would ever have to perform functions like going to the bathroom or having to perform the daily rituals in which which humans must perform as prerequiste to their hunanity. No one is exempt from this question, and I strongly suspect everyone asks themsekves this question often. But I do not think I will hold my breath waiting for a definite answer.Your colleague, young verygood friend, and Your Pal larry m.

Let's divide the question.

One, we should delimit this to Christians. True, everyone, whether righteous or wicked, wants to go to heaven. Of that, there's no doubt.

Two, the primordial reason (and it's likewise true) why no one wants to go there first is that nobody wants to end their life (which is suicide!) for that very reason and would rather wait till they die of natural causes or of old age.

In the final analysis, it is only martyrs or heroes who will face death in the service of their country, unmindful, however, of the thought of going to heaven.

Hi JDM,
I don't think everyone believes in heaven. There are people who believe when you die, that's it.

As for those who do believe, I think there may be people who are terminally ill who would like to be first, so I'll have to disagree with you on this one.

I agree you, but how do you believe that there is hell and heaven? Hell and heaven is in the earth not anything after the death.

I don't think it would be a 'heaven' without other people there. That would be closer to 'hell'.
