Mickey, it's NOT a belief system. Atheism is a mental attitude that recognizes the supremacy of reason. The Atheist is guided by a system of philosophy and ethics, verifiable by experience, independent from arbitrary assumptions of authority or creed.

Because their way of thinking is more spread out in the world than ever. They always think that they "reason" when all they really do is doubt. Faith is something that they don't have and most people are loosing due to the lack of trust in most churches. Hopefully more and more people begin to understand that science is not the answer to everything. Scientists up to now can't explain why we die if our cells are able to reproduce themselves and replenish except that this process becomes less effective when we get older. Scientists have not come up with a solution to Cancer, how can they trust them so much?

I believe if you say atheist or non-atheist it does not signify a physical building, but to ones ideology. Therefore, atheism is not a religion, but a point of view on religion.

Atheism is not a religion. They are heathens. They rebel against the Lord, just like they did when they crusified Him.
It has never changed.
It is easy for them to serve the devil with their wicked ways than to serve God. -It is the simple truth.

of course atheism is NOT a religion. It is the lack of religion. It means you do NOT believe in a higher power. Were you confused about this distinction?

Why does it bother you that some people can't be taught this minor concept? Take a deep breath, and then don't waste it on the small minded.

Its a belief system, so one can call it a religion, that has no set doctrine that one must subscribe to other than the belief that God doesn't exist.
There is no church needed because they don't worship and there is no scripture needed because all they believe can be summarized in a sentence (regarding theology).

Right you are. All that's needed to spread knowledge are schools, and libraries and the desire to learn.
