Jesus Christ came to this earth to die for the sins of the world

He loved us and knew we could not pay the debt of that sin. He paid it willingly laying his life down. If your trusting in anything but his blood sacrifice (sacraments, baptism, rituals) you will die in those sins and pay for them in hell.

No, Joseph Smith didn't die for anyone's sins. Nobody worships Joseph. Joseph wouldn't have wanted anyone to, since he taught that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that only through Jesus Christ can anyone be saved from their sins.

We in the LDS church respect "Brother Joseph" as a prophet who revealed truth to the world, similar to the prophets who did the same thing in the Bible.

For a list of our basic beliefs (which don't include worshipping Joseph Smith), see the official church website: www.lds.org

Latter-day saints do not worship Joseph Smith any more than non-LDS Christians worship Zephaniah or Amos.

Latter-day saints believe that he was a prophet of God, not a savior. There is no way to Heaven except through the atonement of Jesus Christ.

I don't know where you got your info but it's incorrect. We don't worship Joseph Smith, we worship God the Father, through his Son Jesus Christ.
