I'm sorry if what I'm about to say doesn't make you happy, but I am going to be brutally honest with you.
In general, the human body can lose 1 pound of fat per week safely. So, you have to temper your expectations. Aim to lose 20 pounds by the start of next summer (just in time for bikini season!) rather than putting yourself in danger by rushing it now.
Seeing as Christmas is only a month away, I'm assuming that you might have looked in the mirror and thought "Oh god! All the family are coming over in a month, and I want to look great!". Alot of people think like this, which is why cheap diet products will be very popular on TV shopping channels at the moment.
Also keep in mind that the more stressed you are, the more likely you are to comfort eat. Be very aware of how often you wander to the fridge when you're taking a 5 minute break from work...
Here are some tips for you to follow, which will steadily and safely reduce your fat and make you a more toned, healthy, beautiful woman:
Eat around 5 small meals a day. Never starve yourself. Instead of eating 3 big meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and snacking in between, switch to a routine where you eat a proper meal every 3-4 hours. These meals should obviously be smaller than normal because you are eating them at more regual intervals. This constant supply of food will keep your metabolism burning, and help promote fat burning.
Cut out all Junk Food. Avoid sugary foods like cakes, pastries, jams, fizzy drinks, chocolate bars. These are all loaded with cheap sugar, and even if the package says they contain no fat, they will over time cause your body to store more.
Eat natural unprocessed foods.
Raw nuts, wholegrain breads and pasta (instead of white bread/pasta which has had the whole grains removed), lean meats like chicken. Eat pure natural butter rather than the "loe fat" spreads for examples. All those spreads were created in a laboratory, the human body was not designed to ingest them! Nature knows best!
Best of luck!
PS - Be VERY careful over posts above me offering soloutions to weight problems which seems too good to be true. They are companies who prey on people that are feeling insecure and who would pay anything for a quick fix, which unfortunately does not exist. Stay safe, and work hard!

I think it depends how you deal with your stress. Some people stress and do not eat due to the stomach pains caused by stress, while others use food to comfort their stress and this causes weight gain. Stress is unhealthy either way, so try doing activities to help relax your mind and stop you from over stressing!

Go to your doctor and tell him you would like to try..MERIDIA for weight loss. I have taken it before and I have had no side effects, although every one is different. The medication will curb your appetite. Get out and take a walk this will help you lose that weight faster. I lost 65 pounds in 3 months and I walked 5 miles a day.The medicine is expensive $130 a bottle of 30.You won't need to take them the whole month, your stomach will shrink and your eating habits will have changed. You can only get these from a doctor and you need to see your doctor first. You may have some else going on that is causing this.

Most people that are overweight or have gained weight is due to some sort of stress in their life or something in their life that is unknowingly upsetting them. You need to first conquer whatever it is that is stressing you so you can move on and correct the weight gain. Try expressing yourself in a journal, talk to others in the same position, maybe a diet site like: http://dietplatoon.com/forum/index.php

stress causes cortisol which causes weight gain, especially in females. you need to find some way to lessen the stress either by stopping the cause or finding a hobby that helps relax you. also, there are OTC pills that block cortisol. getting rid of the stress if at all possible is the best thing, of course.
