If Islam is as Peaceful as many would like us to believe, Then how do you explain this??

Question

A woman in Saudia Arabia who gets gang-raped gets 200 lashes and a jail sentence. Because Islam says so

A British school teacher who allows hers students to name a Teddybear after the most popular kid in class, Whos name happens to be Mohammed is Jailed and sentenced to 30 lashes. Because Islam says so
Plus she runs the risk of being beheaded by the angry psychotic mob of Islamofascists.

I'm not going to bother with all the beheadings or suicide bombers in the name of "allah".

So someone please explain how this is a peaceful religion and not one full of.............

Sinc you "really want to understand" I'll try to help you out here. Most Muslims in America are not like that. As a matter of fact in our Muslim community I have NEVER heard the word infidel in reference to Americans. I have however noted a culture barrier between alot of Muslims and Americans and to some extent a lack of integration on the Muslim's side (for fear "of sin"). This does not excuse the RUDE behavior on behalf of some Americans though. Islam means peace. But Islam is also practical; if someone attacks you, you attack back. that doesn't mean you are a radical and randomly kill innocent people. If that were the case there would be millions of killings (which there arent). I have thoroughly examined every "controversial" verse of the Quran and have found that people misuse, abuse and misinterpet them by not reading the whole passage or considering the context in which it was revealed. Islam is MOSTLY about attaining company with God through good works on this earth. Our ideals don't differ from most normal people: feed the poor, clothe the needy, shelter the orphans etc etc. Christians, Jews and other monotheists also hold a special position in Islam and are considered a sort of believer instead of a complete non-believer. NEVER does God condone violence against non-believers. It's none of my damn business how they live their lives as long as they let me be. We will all be judged in the end. There are ignorant people on both sides of the spectrum but Islam "bad side" is grossly magnified and misconstrued. Peace. Hope I helped :)

- About the woman in Saudia. First of all, the regime in Saudia Arabia is not Islamic. The regime say its Islamic. They are punch of mafia "i mean the saudian family". They dont have good judgment system. Another thing this woman was having adultry with another man outdoor "in the corner of a street inside the car".

- The british teacher wasnt lashed nor the court asked to be lashed, this is a lie. Islam doesnt say to lash people who name mohammed as what happened, but people there are not mature and living under corrupt regime and som of them were angry from every thing in that country so they went out to express thier mixed anger.

-The beheading you are talking about is happening in Iraq. Who started the war takes the responsibility of what is happening.

Leaders are using religion to control people and not following the true meaning of the religion. It is being used for control and power and not for the betterment of the people. It's sad because this happens in areas where free speach and other liberties are not accepted, so people don't have the chance to get other perspectives and realize the true crime their leaders are commiting...

Don't you think islam is peaceful? I bet you that the woman who was gang raped will do her best not to commit that crime again, given her punishment. As well, gang rape does occur less in Saudi Arabia than in many countries, probably having nothing at all to do with the fact that women are never allowed out alone and are covered head to toe when they are out at all. So, perhaps they are more peaceful.

i believe, any religion taught peace and love.

what you mention, is just a dirty spot on the huge-white-clean paper called religion (islam). Every religion have their own dirty spot. but, if we always looking for this spot, we could never realize what religion are, and it's meaning for human civilization. the essence of religion are believe in god, doing right things and helping each other with love and peace. If anyone who claim religious but they don't do that things, so who's can be blamed? the people, or the religion?

we all know that west religion (islam, christian) have their own black history, but i believe, we still have a change to make the world better, we can live in harmony, that's why we are here.

The woman raped was punished for saudi law, that is being alone in a car with a man not related to her. She was NOT punished for being a rape victim. The rapists got 7 years prison sentence. Each party got their just punishment for breaking the law.

The teacher has been released thanks to MUSLIMS. What have bigots like you done to help her release? NOTHING!

All you narrow minded ignorant bigots are good for is bashing other's faith and generalizing across the board.
