Jesus is the only way to heaven......John 14:6 says he is THE WAY....there is no other way......follow a cult and its teachings and you will die in your sins and go to hell.

According to them Yes. According to everyone else, who knows. Every Christian sect has their own rules for "getting into heaven". The problem I find with the catholic church is their numerous scandals and then the church taking measures to hide those scandals from the public. I remember during High School (I went to public school - but there was the St. Pauls High School as well in the city) and needless to say although the Catholic Church has preached its winning ways to everyone since they were young - I find that teaching kids to drink wine at such a young age doesn't help the alcoholism rate in the USA - and most of the female population of that church was... less than pure so to speak. I find that no matter what a religion preaches everyone will do things against it sometime, everyone believes something different, and no one knows if there is a heaven or afterlife.

The way to the Father is through the Son, Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church leads Catholics to Christ and therefore to salvation and eternal life.

Being a Catholic Christian is not "the way" to heaven, but it helps.
If we want to get right with God, we have to follow the directions of the Son of God. Jesus established only one Church, an actual organization, and authorized its leaders to bind and loose in interpreting and applying his message, choosing new leaders, and administering his sacraments (Matt 16:18, 18:18).
That Jesus expected all Christians to join his Church is implied in Matthew 18:17 on resolving disputes:
"If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector."
Jesus gave a special calling and unique training to the men who would administer his sacraments. Only these specially trained Christians are authorized to forgive sins and preside at the Eucharist. Without forgiveness of sins (John 21:23) and eating the Bread of Life (John 6:51-54), we cannot live forever with God.
The Church recognizes salvation is possible outside the Church, without the full Gospel teaching and sacraments. But obeying Christ in without the Church will be much more difficult.
Cheers,
Bruce

Organized religions, including the Catholic Church, are institutions of man. Which is not to say that they are neccessarily bad. They may be a means to an end. The "end", being a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. The relationship with God through Jesus is a direct one, and does not require the intercession of a church, or priest. The true "church" is a gathering of believers in the presense of God.
Anyone, such as the Pope, who claims to speak for God on earth, and is infallible is deluding themself, and is in fact a bit of a heritic. God has a direct relationship with each of his children and speaks to them Himself. So - no church is the way to heaven - we are saved by faith - and that is a gift from God.

As Jesus explained, "I am The way, The truth and The light..."
Therefore, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and placing your trust in Him as both your Lord and Savior -- that is the path to heaven.
Put your faith in no man (or woman or church), but in Christ alone. Man will let you down every time. I am fairly certain neither of the thieves that died next to Him ever attended mass, yet we know that one entered Paradise with Him that very day.

Christian, not just Catholic.
I'm a Lutheran attending a Catholic university, and boy do I get tired of hearing how Lutherans are just BARELY saved.
