Along with his native German, Benedict speaks fluent Italian, French, English, Spanish and Latin. He can read ancient Greek and biblical Hebrew.

Benedict plays the piano and has a preference for Mozart and Beethoven.

Pope Benedict XVI is the first pope to own an iPod.

The Pope, though some would try to make you believe otherwise, is just as much a follower of the Church as he is a leader of it. He cannot change the Church teachings on his own, he is not revered a God, but he is very wise and holy, and seems to so far be ably filling Pope John Paul's very large shoes.

while Cardinal Ratzinger he effectivey silenced the Liberation Theologians, Carl Rahner, Guttierez and others. So much for an inclusive and universal chuch that reveals truth!
