Need help with interpreting a dream? Serious answers please...?

i use to have this reoccuring dream of being shot. And it would never be the same situation so i never knew it was coming but it would always end with me being shot. This is the actual interpretation of being shot:


To dream that you are shot, represents a form of self-punishment that you may be unconsciously imposing on yourself. You may have done something that you are ashamed of or are not proud of.�


now with that said, i jus had a dream where someone put the gun to my head, and i told them to shoot me... and i wuznt afraid of it... and the person with the gun backed off and backed down... im pretty good at dream interpretation and i think i kno what it means but im not sure... any suggestions on whats goin on??

I would add that you do not trust too many people in your life right now. Getting shot means that other people are hurting you in real life, through words or actions, that you can blow off in waking life as not being a big deal or don't hurt that bad but come up in your dream life as very personal attacks that do hurt. This could be something as simple as someone not showing up on time that you were expecting, someone not paying back money you loaned when you needed it, someone saying bad things about you that your tried to laugh off, or someone getting on your case about something you think or thought was stupid.
I'm also willing to put in a guess that not too many people in your life are truly happy to see you. I know, it sounds harsh, but work with me here. Take a good look around and pay attention to how many words or deeds of kindness come your way as opposed to bad words, criticisms, or bad things happening to you caused by other people. You may be so used to the imbalance that you never noticed it before, but what you accept as regular bad behavior in others really hurts you inside, whether you want to admit such a thing or not. Dreams of getting shot indicate that personal attacks such as criticism and bad lies hurt you.
Next time someone says something bad about you or to your face, ask them what their issue is, try to do something about it instead of just blowing it off. By changing your reaction to such attacks in real life, you give yourself more power in your dreams and you stop feeling like a constant victim in both worlds.

I agree somewhat to the first interpretation. However, sometimes the culture you live in can influence your dreams.
It is bizzarre that your dream actually happened to me, with a few details changed. A crack dealer was trying to steal my car and I told him I wasn't going to let him. He pulled out a gun, I laughed and said "how far do you think your going to get?" He put the gun away but stole my car. I wasn't frightened because I was at peace at where I would go if killed. I was also so diappointed because it's seems like the world gets more evil everyday. I hope this helps
