Im 34 years old, married and have 2 kids. Though im 34 i still like music specially maroon 5 and One republic. I always make a joke that the lead singer in maroon 5 (Adam L.) and the lead singer in one republic (Ryan D.) are my so called "bf" (in my dreams coz i know it will not happened) and its only a joke. Maroon 5 is going to have a concert in Copenhagen and the ticket was sold out, so i tell my hubby that i sign in in waiting list that maybe i have a chance to see the concert anyway. Problem is hubby was angry with me. He told me to behave as an adult, and telling me that buying thier cd is enough. He was really dissapointed and I told him that I want to experience and see this guys while im in my 34 years old. I keep on arguing with him that music cd is not the same as the experience your having at in the concert. I dont want to see maroon 5 when I reach the age of 60 or more.
So my question is? Am I really behaving unppropriate according to hubby? Do I need to change my self?

Hello asker!, I don't know the inside scoop about your husband, but, I can assure you of this, his insecurities has nothing to do with your behavior, its really all about him! I could understand somewhat if you wanted to go to a male exotic club where you are sticking money in another man's underwear, but, you are talking about a concert where you can have good clean, innocent fun and enjoy some of the fun and pleasures life has to freely offer you, ABSOLUTELY NOT, your behavior is not inappropiate!!!!!!!!!!!!. You gave him the respect a wife should by letting him know you wanted to go. Now, the question I am presenting to you is this, Is he your husband or your father? It sounds as if his insecurities goes deeper than with you or about you, my suggestion is, be a wife, however, be the individual, unique person you are as well, he may swell for a moment, but, he will live through it and get over it, sounds as if your husband has some emotional growing up to do (no disrespect to-ward your husband because I don't know him or you). A woman who is married is a wife , true enough, but, you are also still an individual with your own independent beliefs, ideas, passions, etc., go have fun and enjoy yourself girl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. when you go, write me back and let me know how much fun you had!!!!

I'm 34 and go to wrestling shows. You're right, seeing it live is WAY better than watching it on TV or listening to a CD. Tell hubby not to be so insecure. He knows he'd love the chance at seeing his favorite celebrity live and if he says he wouldn't, he's lying.

It does not matter if you are 34 or 60, if you want to go to the concert, you don't really need anyone's approval. You husband should be understanding of that. Does he watch football with friends? Does he go out with his own friends? probably he is a little jealous and insecure because he knows you have little fantasies going on.

You won't be the only adult there I am sure. At the very least, there will be adults taking their kids. Have a good time, and tell your hubby to quit acting like an old man!!!

there is nothing wrong with the way you are acting....its only music and going to see a concert. He has no reason to be upset. Anyone can like any kind of music...as long as the behavior doesn't get too outrageous.
