first - Bride and groom (get in trouble if you forget that one)

bride & groom +bridesmans, flowergirls/pages bestman/maid of honour

Groom+ best man & any attendants

Bride + any flower girls or pages (cute is always good)

Bride with mother + mother inlaw
groom with father +father in-law

make a list, don't be afraid to mix up the groups.

If you are incharge of taking photos, buy a large batch of disposible cardboard cameras, give all the kids one each,
Then you get them back and pay for the developing.
Adults will relax more for kids - you get interesting results,
especially if the adult is the type that think kids will take bad photos. Kid will also get photos you could never get

groom and groomsmen, groom and mother, groom and family, lots of bride and groom, bride, groom and wedding party, bride, groom and grandparents. A good wedding photographer will take a bunch and set the pictures up for you, then you get to pick which ones you like! Good luck!

bride and groom, bride & groom with groom's family, bride & groom with bridal party, groom & groom's party (best man, etc.)

You might be able to find a formal list on theknot.com

That website was a huge help to me in planning our wedding.

If you google wedding poses, you will come up with many different lists, with literally a hundred or more poses. These checklists are helpful because with all the planning you are doing it helps you organize your thoughts with no regrets.

talk to the photographer and make sure he/she has a list of the ppl you want to have, they should already know the normal traditionals ones, but don't forget that you may wan pics with elderly relatives and ppl that are not related except by love, congrats
