Living in the UK we are quite sheltered to such christian extremism so when I saw people posting about the creationist museum I seriously thought that it would be someone's back room or an eccentric's garage. It was only when I saw a link in another answer that it dawned on me you guys were serious!OMG!LMAO.
Ahem....seriously.....a question......er...........ah yes:
Aren't there better things to spend 27million on?
Like trying to find those elusive moon monkeys or pinpointing the ends of rainbows to catch those little Irish fellas.

Hehehehehehehehehehehehehe jesus wept what a crock of shite, how does a country this big and supposedly forward looking end up supporting a theme park for people who can't think for themselves, just because they have a museum built, doesn't give it and credance and should have a disclaimer saying this is not an established or proven fact and that science says different.....You really do need a civil war over there otherwise this expansionism and forcing of religious values will continue to debase you as a credible nation and that would not be fair on the majority of your people....

Oh dear. I can't even describe how this makes me feel. How sad that people are so uneducated. I'm a Christian scientist, and I don't find any contradictions. How stupid to dedicate that much money to proving science wrong.
I hate to say it, but atheist scientists have a hand in this shite. They tell people they don't have a choice to believe in both. Believe me, they're the small majority with the largest mouthpiece. Most scientists I work with keep their beliefs to themselves, but aren't atheist.
EDIT: I just looked at a slideshow on Flickr of the museum. That museum represents the most extreme of views - I refuse to believe that most Christians believe that way. Don't they realize it's just making them look foolish and backwards? The world was created only 6000 years ago? How is that evidence of a greater God?? Sorry, the God I believe in is powerful enough to create something that has been around for millions of years and contains intricate processes to help it continue. The God of that museum must be a simpleton who has to zap everything into existence and isn't powerful enough to allow things to change.

Why don't you just look in a pub for those little Irish fella's and those space monkeys'll tear you to pieces before you get near them, those people that walked on the moon actually got killed by space monkeys and they drove the rocket back to earth however on contact with our atmosphere their genetics changed and they are now known as George W. Bush and his family

No alas, the rather dodgy backer of this white elephant - if he escapes tax fraud in Australia, should make a lot of money from the converted.
Its a crime to see our museums of actual history falling to bits through lack of funds, and what are the Christians spending their money on, a pseudo science hall. If the rubbish would stay there in a building, I would say OK, but they also want to poison our kids minds in schools with these ideas.
Leave religion out of schools, and go to this theme park museum if you must, just don't rattle your collection tins under my nose, or bore me with your half baked theories on my doorstep!

An honest to goodness fact, the whole kit and caboole of it. If you really want to be astonished, go to the guy's website at http://www.drdino.com. He is on record as offering a $250,000 reward to anybody who can provide empirical evidence that dinosaurs existed..
My suggestionnn to you? get a little rock hammer and go on down to Lime Regis, other wise known as 'TheJurassic Coast'. You should find enough evidence there.

Can you imagine what it must be like to be an atheist in this country, now?
I was just thinking about this the other day. It's incredibly frustrating, and at times quite lonely, being the only sane person in the room most of the time.
Happens all the time over here...

I guess it is the problem I have with churches and religion in general. Not that I am a church going soul--and probably one of the reasons I am not. If you look at the millions of dollars spent by all denominations on these large buildings-$27,000,000 dollars on a creationist museum--think about how many hungry people, how many sick, how many poor that money could help. I have to believe that if there truly is anything to religion--J.C. would come back--shake his head-and be sad with what religions had turned his philosphy of living into.

the clarification why mainstream song sucks is human beings there are way too many morons who help it. in the event that they did not help it and purchase into it then it may exchange. i think of a brilliant quantity of youngsters or maybe adults have in no way been waiting to think of for themselves. they have consistently depended on television and media to tell them what's hip and funky. i understand too lots of people who have no pastime in venturing exterior of the container and exploring different avenues of artwork and song. They place self belief in the radio and tv to tell them what's cool and suitable. whilst i became right into a baby turning out to be up in the 80 s and ninety s there became right into a brilliant form of song genres that have been seen mainstream. countless it became into god undesirable yet a minimum of there have been bands who knew a element or 2 approximately truly musicianship. can we see any of that for the period of mainstream song today? Coldplay is suffering to stay suitable and the reality that they replaced their comprehensive sound to cater to a gaggle of people who merely opt for something catchy and hooky of their lives is quite ******* unhappy. Musicianship is lifeless. i'm a songwriter and that i'm additionally a dj at a interior sight college. the two do not circulate hand in hand. i'm unhappy and very much shocked that I play song for little ones who take ex Disney and Nickelodeon/became pop starts off heavily, although when I tell all and sundry i'm a songwriter and supply them my cd they probable merely throw it of their backseat and forget approximately it. i'm not asserting human beings don't have the final to discover something in contemporary pop song which would be beautiful....yet i'm asserting human beings should not be afraid to locate and think of for themselves. there is countless truly good song accessible which may well be chanced on. provide up ingesting the kool help and choking on each and every thing the media shoves down your throat. think of for your self for **** sake or you are the subject why mainstream song sucks.

There are creation museums and even a replica of Noah's Ark.
They both make money. The non-profit religions are laughing all the way to the bank.

I would love to go there, so I can see [with dioramas] how ridiculous creation is.
EDIT: That makes America look incredibly ignorant. The rest of the world spends money and time on useful things - where you guys spend it on religious propaganda. I thought you were supposed to smart, rational people. Oh, sorry I remembered, its the Swedish and the rest of Europe.
