No..I do not believe in Santa, But I do believe in someone who the Myth of Santa Clause was created around that He was once a real person , who History has built up a sort of fabel about.

The true story of Santa Claus begins with Nicholas, who was born during the third century in the village of Patara. At the time the area was Greek and is now on the southern coast of Turkey. His wealthy parents, who raised him to be a devout Christian, died in an epidemic while Nicholas was still young. Obeying Jesus' words to "sell what you own and give the money to the poor," Nicholas used his whole inheritance to assist the needy, the sick, and the suffering. He dedicated his life to serving God and was made Bishop of Myra while still a young man. Bishop Nicholas became known throughout the land for his generosity to the those in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.

Under the Roman Emperor Diocletian, who ruthlessly persecuted Christians, Bishop Nicholas suffered for his faith, was exiled and imprisoned. The prisons were so full of bishops, priests, and deacons, there was no room for the real criminals—murderers, thieves and robbers. After his release, Nicholas attended the Council of Nicaea in AD 325. He died December 6, AD 343 in Myra and was buried in his cathedral church, where a unique relic, called manna, formed in his grave. This liquid substance, said to have healing powers, fostered the growth of devotion to Nicholas. The anniversary of his death became a day of celebration, St. Nicholas Day.

Through the centuries many stories and legends have been told of St. Nicholas' life and deeds. These accounts help us understand his extraordinary character and why he is so beloved and revered as protector and helper of those in need.

Actually, "Santa Claus" was a realy person. He lived in the 4th century, and when by the name of Nicholas. He was an early church father in the Orthodox religion, and one of the most important scholars at the Nicean Councils.

He is best known for having penned the "Nicene Creed", which is still recite in most Orthodox and Catholic churches around the world. (Some Protestant also, though they tend to do less creed reciting.)

He is the patron saint of the Orthodox church. There are more Orthodox and Catholic churches named for him (St. Nicholas) then any other saint. He is especially connected with the Christmas celebration because of his habit of leaving Christmas gifts for deserving child, and providing dowery money for poor young women so that they could marry rather then have to be forced into prostitution to survive. The habit of leaving gifts in "St Nicholas" name started in his lifetime, and has spread through the centuries.

His name Saint Nicholas was "garbled" by the Germans to give us the name "Santa Claus". And many silly myths and ideas have grown up around him, espeically in the last two or three centuries.

But there actually is a historical "Santa Claus" who lived God, served the Christian church, and gave gifts to children at Christmas time.

Santa and the Flying Spaghetti Monster don't exist, but Satan certainly does. I promise you one thing. You don't ever want to see Satan, without having Jesus Christ living inside of you. Stay away from the occult and false religions.

He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world.
