We will never have world peace. The world would have to learn tolerance. And that would be practically impossible, as religions differ. When your beliefs differ so drastically, it is difficult to find any mutal understanding.

Besides, weren't we all gung ho for the war when it started? Showing that we wouldn't just stand aside when someone attacks our countrymen and women, on our own land?! So I say we should stay, and finish what we started, instead of being lazy and just leaving...

Because we are human beings and it is not a perfect thing to be or a perfect world we live in. You never have a fight or disagreement in your family? Human nature includes aggressive traits and always have-we survive because of those traits and they protect us; they also cause fights, crime, wars and so on but they are part of our genetic make-up. No we cannot just get along and decide to not have any wars or fighting just so no one suffers because people are not wired that way and they are the countries and the leadership of countries world wide. Maybe some day in the far, far future we will be totally non-aggressive but since that is also tied to our drive to explore and competition-which drives advancement in all areas the human race will become stagnant and die out. So we might some day be that way and it will be shortly before our extinction.

Why cant you just leave your car unlocked with the keys in it without worrying about it being stolen?
Why cant you leave all of your money in your pocket instead of putting it in a bank?
The answer is because there will always be someone trying to take what you have. Sometimes countries try to take what other countries have. When the wronged country defends it's self you have war.
War is crime and the fight against crime on a multi-national level.

Why can't there be just one War?
"Why does there have to be a War"?

No one will suffer if just get along with all countries.

Let me say this to you about Hawaii. The Hawaiians owned their land. They were there first, but when the Americans came and took the land from them...are we getting thorugh yet?, The Hawaiians lost that battle and brought disease to their people. Hawaiians hate the Whiteman and they hate what the Government stands for.

If your White and live in Hawaii you will always be subject to War or even death. I have seen Hawaiians brutally beat up a Whiteman and stood afar and watched it as a Puertorican my skin color is the only savior I had from gettting beaten as well.
This happened in 1970 in Wahiwa, Hawaii.

War kills inside and outside. 9/11 is not a War it's a crime.

To not have war would mean several things. One all countries will and able to both speak, listen and respect what other countries have said. When this isn't present it creates tension which leads to war.

The classic example I like to point out is WW2. Britain, France, and the USA tried diplomatic and economic means to prevent war, it failed because one side (the Axis) didn't want to listen and didn't respect others.

Because the big countries such as russia, uk, usa and other european countries have to make war in order to use the resources of poor nations.

You see this country wouldn't survive without Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and many others. How do you think we have so much? is because our countries exploit poor defenseless nations in order to survive.

The question for you is:

Does anything grow in england?
Corn, Wheat, etc

Answer is NO, not to the point where it could be mass produced.

In the US do you think that this country would survive without illegal alliens?
The answer is no, because there are too many people and these people need to be fed and how will they be fed if there issn't anyone that works the fields.

How do you think we will have gas if we didn't invade or cause problems in poor nations? Is business, they have something we want, we give some of them Visas so they can live like us.

There has never been a time in the history of man when there has not been war. There has always been conflict somewhere. With the shrinking of the globe (better communications, faster travel), we are much closer than ever before in the history of civilization.

Because of intolerance, greed, and insanity.

In the world there are people who are intolerant of others who do not believe the same (that's why there's a different church on every corner). There are those who want what others have, money, power, etc. And there are those who are outright nuts like Hitler.

And sometimes people go to war to try to help free others who are suppressed into slavery.

to make it quick and simple, countries can not be satisfied with theirself and their own governments. they try to take stuff from other countries and war starts. in my opinion invading afghanistan was a justified move because they made the first strike on us. (to "a_wood80", as a matter of fact we have been in many wars since WW2....the Gulf War, Vietnam War, Korean War, the Cold War, War in Waziristan, War in Somalia, the current War on Terrorism (that you hear about daily in the news). However, I believe that the whole conflict in Iraq started because of a plot that Iraq had to assassinate Presidents Bush's father, George H. W. Bush. I do not agree with this war, but I will support the troops for what they are fighting to protect. My best friend is a soldier in the United States Army and is currently serving his second deployment in Iraq.

You know, as much as I hate to say this (being a peace-loving pacifist), I'm beginning to believe it's human nature to fight (and go to war) against each other. Since the time of our earliest ancestors, we've been fighting amongst ourselves and killing each other off. Many times, there have been motives (religion mostly, but also power struggles, territory, greed, etc.); but I think that, most of the time, it's just "the nature of the beast". Sad, but most likely true...
