I have vaccumed and ran his bedding in hot water. I did not use soap in case the soap is causing it. It rain all day yesterday so i really dont think its something outside. He just went out and came right back in. I know it still could be something but i'm thinking it might be his food. His mouth is really swollen and red. After he ate yesterday his hives got really bad agian i'm thinking of switching his food but dont want to swith it to early if that might not be it. I'm thinking eagel pack holistic food. I know a lot of dogs with allergies on it. I'm thinking i need a second opinion.

That the condition is not improving with professionaly administered meds means that the dog is still in contact with the allergen. Ask your vet for advice on how to identify the allergen. It is a process of ellimination which can take a few days to a few weeks.

Take him back to the vet's for another check up if he doesn't improve in a day or two, and you better check your house and yard too. There may be something in the environment that is causing the hives. He may be allergic to a plant in the yard.

Since you've changed everything else, it about has to be the food. Your poor pooch sounds miserable!

My parents have a beagle with severe food allergies- so they have to get him a special food with as few artificial dyes and preservatives in it as possible.

Good luck!
