. But did you know, YOU have a choice of whether or not Scholastic is in your school? There are many good Children’s book clubs out there other than Scholastic that they can be replaced with. Groups that offer books that are entertaining, loved by children and at the same time do not advocate such twisted views of parents and God as does the Golden Compass series, better know as “his dark materials” That name in itself should have been a warning sign to those who care for their children. If this is what Scholastic wishes to promote, that’s their choice, but so is who I give my money to, that will say a lot, are they in it for the children or just to make a quick buck. My guess is the latter. It is up to YOU the parent to clean house. Are you going to do your part?

You have got to be kidding me!

So only fundamental Christians love their children?

I will be doing my part to make sure scholastic books stays in schools.

I am going to make sure my children see this movie and read these books because I want them to have full knowledge of the whole issue and can understand how much of an idiot people like you are.

A story cannot hurt a child.

Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick... another shining example of Christian Tolerance!!!

It's a fantasy book. No one in their right mind will treat it as religious text. Have you even read it?

I just got it a few days ago to see what all the fuss is about and I am planning on seeing the movie when it comes out.

So according to you, it's ok to FORCE the bible on to children, but the moment you give a child a book that may have them questioning religion, you are up at arms and want to boycott and have books removed from school.

no...i'm going to buy more books from Scholastic (who also published Harry Potter) and support all the great extras they give the schools through free books and the R.I.F. program.
