I do not believe that a true Christian should celebrate Christmas. It is just a pagan holiday dressed up in sparkles and tinsel to lead God's followers astray. Christians how can you celebrate this witchcraft and pretend it is about the birth of our savior?

Christmas, Easter and Sunday are all among the marks of the false church.

They are all pagan days of worship clothed in righteous sounding language to deceive the unlearned.

I stopped celebrating xmas in 1984 after I Learned the truth, how about the rest of you really proving for yourselves just what this pernicious day represents? The proofs are all over the Internet and in all the encyclopedias and in library books.

Most folks are too lazy or too complacent to study to prove what they believe though.

Christmas has come to have two meanings. The initial and true reason for the creation of the holiday is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I am christian and therefore that is what I associate with the holiday. Therefore, yes christians should be celebrating the holiday. The other meaning is associated with Santa Claus and lights and all that fun stuff. It is okay to get into the spirit of things and enjoy these aspects of the holiday as long as you never forget the TRUE meaning of the holiday and you don't forget the santa claus is a fictional character. There is no pretending that the holiday is about our savior. Don't try to peg christians as hypocrits for celebrating this season because the fact of the matter is...you don't have a clue why each individual celebrates this season. I truly celebrate because of jesus christ but I will put up a christmas tree. Are you even a christian? Probably not which means you don't know the definition of a true christian anyway. Have a blessed holiday and Merry christmas.

I know where you come form but your wrong, The oagan fest was called winterfest that led the worship of pagans, but a man from the roman catholic chruch created christmas to counteract the pagan festival, so he he made christmas the holiday to celebrate the birth of our dear savior Jesus Christ. If Christians truly celebrate christmas it to have a celebration of the birth of Jesus, not just for presents or christmas trees.

I don't really celebrate Christmas because to me every day is a day that the Lord has made and a day to celebrate Jesus. But I know what the Bible teaches about debatable matters of faith like regarding one day as more special than another and how Christians should treat one another when it comes to matters like "Christmas".

Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. 5 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.

In other words, if you don't think that it's right to celebrate Christmas then be fully convinced in your own mind and honor the Lord by not celebrating it. Don't look down on other Christians who have a different view on this matter.

Christmas being a mixture of a pagan holiday taken over as a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus is no more significant than a Christian in Corinth going to eat meat sacrificed to a pagan "god" in a pagan temple. Here's how the Apostle Paul wrote about matters like this.

1 Corinthians 8:1 Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. 2 The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. 3 But the man who loves God is known by God.

4 So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one. 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. 7 But not everyone knows this. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat such food they think of it as having been sacrificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.

Paul reminds his readers that the Lord owns everything and that pagan idols are really nothing. It's the same with days that pagans have set aside for their festivals.

What does it matter to you non-believers how we celebrate Christmas. We answer to God, not to anyone else. Some of us just like the pretty look of Christmas, and don't bother with gifts.

Oh, maybe you celebrate witchcraft and paganism, but
most Christian's celebration is of the birth of our Savior,
Jesus Christ. All the tensel and sparkles are just extras
for those who wish to decorate. To each his own.

There is nothing wrong with celebrating the "Christ mas", which is a church service give to honor, worship and celegrate the person of Christ, and specially his coming to earth as the savior.

All the other garbage has nothing to do with the "Christ mas". It is secular stuff that has grown around the "Christ mas" to give people who do not want to worship Christ something else to celebrate at that time.

But none of that invalidates the true worship of Christ.

Finally a Christian who has decided to tell the truth. Most Christians don't even realize that Jesus wasn't born in December. The proper name for this holiday is Yule.
