Okay. Climat change or just random winters?

for years, Canadian winters have been known to vary greatly. Sometimes, minus 20 only with around 30 cm of snow for the whole winter. Other years, minus 40 and occasionally - 50 in wind chill with HUGE snowstorms of 40 to 50 cm.
In the past 3 winters, last year, for instance, most of Canada had its first green Christmas. Everyone saw Santa pulling up in a huge green hummer. This year, meteorologists say that its going to be a normal canadian winter. (aka 40 cm of snow per storm, cold, lots of wind, not to mention occaisional light snow)

so really, is climat change really taking effect in canada yet?

I think that are planet has small shifts on its axis that can make big changes in our weather, There are maps in existence from old that actually show the Antarctic free of ice. They found mammoths in the frozen tundra that had fresh vegetation in their mouths, they had been instantly frozen. Who really knows?

Weather is the interaction of 3 things and what is going on in Canada or the rest of the world.

Due to loss of freeze/thaw cycles, Mountain Pine Beetle has devastated(killed) 50,000 square miles of devastated forest and they are moving. We are clear cutting and exposing more of the surface of the planet to UV.

In 2006 the worst happened and the beetles got a thermal lift into the winds where they crossed the Rocky Mountains into Alberta. Albertans said the beetles rained and fell out of the sky, covering buildings. They described it like raining rice.

You should see what UV is doing to buildings in the winter? I document building exteriors 150 degrees F on a 48 degree day. On below freezing days, UV is causing absorbent exposed materials to generate extreme heat. The UV index isn't strong enough to use air conditioning, it is however heating our northern refrigerator changing air pressure and weather.
